As a child, we all had a pair of walkie talkies- shared either with a sibling or a close friend.

You would spend hours playing pretend with each other, whispering top-secret conversations to each other, the hardly- audible words coming through the speaker.

But, if one Talkie was either turned off or ran out of battery, or perhaps just stopped working, the other end would be filled with static.

With the Static, you cannot hear anything from your friend, and your friend can't hear a word from you.

It is this way with Jesus.

But, His walkie talkie is always working.

So if you hear static, it is your own end that needs to be fixed.

We cannot simply pray a wish-list, and do nothing in return.

Both ends need to be working to be effective and useful.

We must conform to God's will, and put in the effort to carry it out. If you take the proper steps, the static will clear and His voice will come shining though again.

So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.
