The Crooked Tree

High upon a mountain, sits a Tree.

You may be thinking,

"There are dozens of trees in the mountains!”

Well, yes, you are right.

But this particular Tree is crooked.

It leans to the side, standing out from amongst the rest.

The reason this Tree leans, is to get closer to the sun.

The Crooked Tree thirsts for the sun, willing itself to bend and draw ever nearer to it.

It does this, because it knows it cannot stand crooked nor straight without the sun. The Tree needs the sun to survive. Everything needs it.

Nothing can prosper and flourish without the sun.

So, just like this Tree, we must all bend and cling to the Sun- Jesus.

None of us will amount to anything, unless we have Jesus with us. Without him, we are nothing.

We shouldn’t try to blend in, when all the world needs Jesus equally as much.

There is no shame.

Only a Savior.

Scripture:

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.

James 4:7-8
