Reflection

Evangelist Billy Graham once said in one of his great crusades:

God remembers to forget.”

When you look in the mirror every morning, what do you see?

Do you see the remnant of makeup from yesterday?

Or maybe you hear your enemy’s voice,

“You will never be anything more than the girl in the mirror”?

Or do you see the young woman God made?

Because God made you. He designed you and formed you, creating you, because he knew the world could use you.

He knew you would sin.

But if we ask him to, God can forget every sin we have ever committed.

But we must first ask for forgiveness.

God remembers everything, but He can forget anything.

When you put on makeup in the morning, no matter how much you cake on, no matter how much you change your appearance, God still can see his daughter in her natural state.

He remembers.

And he thinks you are beautiful.

The reflection in the mirror doesn’t mean anything to God, and shouldn’t to us.

God doesn’t love us because of our looks, he loves us because we are His.

When Christ died on the cross, there were legions upon legions of angels waiting for him in heaven, to save him.

He shook his head no.

“I love them. They are worth it.” He whispered.

Girl, God loves you.

And you are worth it.

Scripture:

You are altogether beautiful, my love: there is no flaw in you.

Song of Solomon 4:7

Peter 3:3-4

"Don't try to make yourselves beautiful on the outside, with stylish hair or by wearing gold jewelry or fine clothes. Instead, make yourselves beautiful on the inside, in your hearts, with the enduring quality of a gentle, peaceful spirit. This type of beauty is very precious in God's eyes."
