Time

Picture this:

An antique Grandfather clock rests at the foot of a grand staircase, and you sit gazing up at the clock's face- wishing the time would go by faster.

Maybe you are waiting for a party, or a dinner, or perhaps some other exciting event you are eager to begin.

The little hands rotate across the clocks face, until the seconds turn to minutes, and the minutes into hours- and so forth

And the clock strikes ten, a melody erupting from its chest.

And at last it is time for the "party" to begin.

So you hurry off, clothed in your best party dress, high heels and a pair of new earrings to complete the look.

But, unfortunately, upon your arrival, you find that the lights are out, the crowd is gone, the decorations have all been torn down and all that remains is lost hope and what a glorious time you could have had.

You must have misread or misunderstood the time at which the party was to begin, and you waited too late. You missed the party and your time has been utterly wasted.

Life is messy, and it is so easy to get distracted and lose sight of eternity.

We often go through the motions, allowing our time to waste away on foolish pass-times.

but God has created us for more.

He asks us to seek Him and His Kingdom- this is His Invitation.

And so many are missing it- choosing to decline the offer rather than to accept it and take their seat at Christ's Table.

Don't miss this invite.

Don't say, "I'll do it tomorrow."

Jesus is calling Today, right now.

Don't waste anymore time.

Receive God's invitation today- and with it the Joy of Eternity with Jesus.

Scripture:

Be ye therefore ready also; for the son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Luke 12:40 (KJV)

Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. And since you don't know when that time will come, be on guard! Stay alert!

Mark 13: 31-33 (NLT)
